Thracian sword, catalog number I /3

Two types: with ornamentation and without ornamentation
Materials: brass, patina, wooden box for the wall
Size: about 40 cm.

This is an art interpretation of typical Thracian cold steel weapon. The matrix of such a sword has been found in the village of Pobit Kamak (north-east Bulgaria), near the town of Razgrad and is exhibited in the museum in Razgrad. The blade of the sward is narrowed at the base of the handle and resembles a palm leaf. The author preserved the original forms of the sword handle and the soft vertical lines (grooves) of the blade. The sign of Mitra is marked at the sword base, behind the handle.
